Ajeet Bajaj

Ajeet Bajaj is an adventurer and explorer and is the first Indian to have completed the Polar Trilogy which entails skiing to the North Pole, to the South Pole and across Greenland. He is the first Asian to have rafted and kayaked some of the most challenging rivers of the world spanning six continents. He has won a bronze medal in the national games for kayaking and one silver and two bronze medals in international rafting competitions in Switzerland and Russia. He captained the international team for world white water rafting championships in Turkey in 1994. Ajeet has done a number of first descents of rivers and is considered a pioneer of river rafting, kayaking, expedition skiing and sea kayaking in India. Ajeet has had the proud privilege of conducting fifty courses and expeditions for the Indian Armed Forces including special forces in river rafting and white water kayaking down some of the most turbulent rivers in country

Ajeet is a PADI ( Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified rescue diver and qualified as a mountaineering instructor from ENSA, French National School of Skiing and Alpinism. Ajeet scaled Mount Everest with his daughter Deeya on May 16th, 2018 from Tibet becoming the first Indian Daughter Father duo to have accomplished this. They are the first parent child team in the world to have climbed Mount Everest from the harder North side. The duo also gave a strong message about the girl child in India that given the opportunity and nurturing, girls can attain great heights. Ajeet and his daughter have climbed six of the seven summits, the highest mountain on every continent.

Ajeet is the founder and Managing Director of Snow Leopard Adventures Pvt. Ltd., three times National Tourism Award winning organization  He is Co-founder/ Director of Adventure Nation.com, India’s leading online adventure tourism portal with  yatra.com He is Founder, Planet Harmony, an initiative to integrate to the mainstream children from disturbed areas such as J&K, North East and Naxal affected areas.

Ajeet has served as member of Global Sustainable Tourism Council, a United Nations World Tourism Organisation.  Ajeet was Chairperson of the Camping Policy & Caravan Tourism Policy for Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.   Ajeet is fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Fellow, Aspen Global Leadership Network. Ajeet  was invited to participate in the Champions of Change Event with the Prime Minister of India in August 2017. Ajeet has served two terms as President, Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI).

Ajeet Bajaj was conferred the  Padma Shri in 2012 by the President of India. He has been felicitated with the 'Hall of Fame' award by the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India and the ‘Hall of fame’ by the “Indian Association of Tour Operators’.
