Mr. Arif Shahriar, currently Chief People Officer of Standard Group Ltd. A Leading readymade garments manufacturer in both Woven & knitting products, produced in its 18 factories having more than 450+ than 55K+ production lines with 55,000+ employees in Bangladesh. Mr. Shahriar has more than thirty-five years of work experience in the field of General Management, Human Resource Management, and Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management.

Prior to joining Standard group in July 2022, he worked in Apex Footwear Ltd. as their Chief People & Culture Officer for 2 years, Rahimafrooz Bangladesh ltd. for 14 years as their Chief People & Business Performance Office in the corporate office.

Mr. Shahriar started his corporate career in British American Tobacco in 1987 and worked for Nineteen years. In BAT he was in the key positions like Head of Human Resources, Manufacturing Manager in Bangladesh, and Corporate HR Business Partner in BAT Australasia.

Mr. Shahriar is a graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering from USA and MBA from North South University. He has key interest & skills are in Strategic HR, Change Management, and leadership development. He was also part time teaching faculty in MBA programs in IBA of Dhaka University & other Private universities like AIUB, Southeast University and Canadian University of Bangladesh.
