Choon Yen is the Head of People Operations and People Systems, APJ in Workato. She manages regional people operations with over 200 employees spread across 10 locations in 6 countries, and also helms the systems portfolio within the HR team. True to the Workato spirit of innovation and powering productivity, Choon Yen works closely with her colleagues to reimagine and (re)design HR workflow processes to ease the administrative burdens and increase productivity around talent acquisition, offer-to-new hire process, leave application, benefits administration etc. Using Workato (as a product) for Workato (as a company), these automation projects have allowed her team to keep 'People' as the centre of their focus, allowing them to engage with candidates and employees at a deeper level and bonding the burgeoning team.
