Based in Singapore, Mr Foo Chek Wee serves as the Human Capital Head with Straits Trading, an conglomerate-investment company with diversified operations and financial interests in resources, property and hospitality.

Previously, Chek Wee had served ten years in large companies, such as VISA Inc and American Express, as a country, regional and international HR Business Partner. Also, he had six years of HR experience blitz scaling startups, including Zalora, Riot Games and Oriente.

For his contribution to the HR profession, Chek Wee was honoured with the following accolades: Singapore’s LinkedIn Power Profile in 2015 and 2016; one of the four winners across APAC to be awarded the coveted Linkedin Conscious Business Award (APAC) in 2015; Captain of HR recognition by HRM Magazine in 2014; winner of Best HR Manager by HRM Awards in 2013.
