Shri Krishna Kumar Singh is an Electrical Engineer from IIT, BHU and holds PG Diploma in Human Resource Management. Shri Singh joined SAIL in 1987 in the Company’s Bhilai Steel Plant as Management Trainee (Technical) and worked for around 11 years in the Blooming & Billet Mill before switching over to HRD. Rising through the ranks, Shri Singh became the Executive Director I/c (Personnel & Administration) in SAIL before taking over as the Director (Personnel) of the Company. He possesses vast experience of almost 35 years in diverse areas viz. Operations, Human Resource Development, Vigilance and Personnel & Administration in Bhilai Steel Plant and Corporate Office.

During his career, Shri Singh has taken several progressive initiatives in areas like Performance Management, Career Progression Planning, Manpower Planning, Compensation & Benefit Management, Training & Development, Education, Industrial Relations Management and Employee Engagement.

In his role as Executive Director (P&A), SAIL Corporate Office during Nov’2019 to Jan’2022, Shri Singh was instrumental in steering the wage-negotiations in SAIL in the Apex bipartite forum-NJCS. He has also played a key role in the formulation & implementation of various HR policies and rules including the SAIL Pension Scheme and its switchover to NPS for enabling a fair and objective policy-framework in the Company.
