Leena Sahijwani
Leena is the Vice President- Group Human Resources at the Tata Group since September 2018. In this role, she is responsible for group Performance, Rewards, Diversity and Digital Transformation along with leading HR function for Tata Sons that sets policy and governance for all companies at the Tata Group.
Leena has over two decades of experience having previously worked with Sun Pharmaceuticals, GE, Accenture, Aon Hewitt and Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Healthcare in various HR leadership roles.
Leena was leading HR function for global R&D and Quality organisations in addition to Talent Management at Sun Pharma prior to joining Tata Group. Prior to this stint Leena was working as Director- Compensation & Benefits responsible for C&B and HR Operations for GE in South Asia and ASEAN regions and C&B Branding and Communication work for GE globally. In addition she was leading the GE Women’s Network for GE South Asia and led several key initiatives developing diverse talent, during this tenure GE South Asia won GE Women’s Network Best Region awards twice in a span of three years based on the impact created. She joined GE in 2005 as the HR leader for Energy & Aviation engineering organizations based out of Bangalore.
She started her career with Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) from and worked on assignments in HR and Sales. She joined Hewitt Associates and consulted in the area of C&B and Job Evaluation for clients spanning varied industries like Consumer, IT and ITES industries. After working for two and a half years with Hewitt, she joined Accenture to lead their Compensation & Benefits function for ITES business.
Leena has an MBA degree in Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune and Bachelors degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.
