Rohit comes with close to two decades of experience in building and growing organizations across e-commerce, manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, technology, banking and insurance sector. He has worked with both large corporations and start-ups and is adept at handling diverse set of people/businesses at local and global level, even in a matrix environment and has consistently demonstrated success in driving the company vision & mission. He thrives on the challenge of entering new territories and make a mark through his grit and potential. He has breadth and depth of experience in the field of HR, be it setting up teams & processes from scratch, or changing conventional mindset and approach towards human resources, or devising strategies for transformation of people processes that enable businesses to move to the next level. Along with this, his very outlook towards the role of HR in organizations makes him a very responsible and able HR leader.
He is currently the Group Head HR and L&D for REA India Pte. Ltd. (Housing, PropTiger & Makaan), erstwhile Elara Technologies Pte Ltd., the only Online to Offline ecommerce company in real estate domain. He joined the organization at a stage when the organization was expanding (hire approx. 700 people in 6 months), and was looking to build a work culture that is best in the space and take on the journey of building it a great work place. His sound experience in building and evolving people practices that enable businesses helped the organization create a solid base for the expansion that was upcoming and helped the brand position itself in the coveted Top 100 best places to work, recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute. His consistent efforts towards building a great workplace have led to REA India rank at 95th place in 2017, 34th place in 2019 and 13th place in 2021 in India’s Best Companies to Work for lists and also 48th place in Asia’s Best Workplaces in 2021. With his thorough strategic approach and execution excellence, he has successfully integrated several small and large organizations that the parent organization acquired in M&As over the last 2 years. He also led the organization to Runner up position in HR Excellence Awards 2017 and 2020 for the Best Emerging HR Strategy which was awarded by Business World Magazine in association with Grant Thornton; and in 2021 as the runners up in Excellence in Employee Experience and Excellence in Employee Engagement. REA India has also been adjudged as winner in ‘Excellence in Digitization of HR’ category at the People Excellence Awards 2021 curated by prestigious National HRD Network (NHRDN) for HR digital transformation using digital and data led processes. Additionally in 2021, REA India was adjudged as winners in ‘Best Employee Engagement Program’ and ‘Best Employee Reward & Recognition Strategy’ categories at the Human Excellence Awards 2021.
