A highly result-oriented HR professional with over 30 years of experience in successfully planning, designing, implementing & managing various strategic HR initiatives. He is a seasoned industry professional with insightful experience in areas of Industrial and Employee Relations, Organizational Design, Change Management, HR Strategy Planning & Implementation and People Development.

Currently, he is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & Vice President (HR) of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL); [April 2022 – Present] the market leader in the automobile manufacturing in India. In his current role he is driving the formulation & implementation of the Annual HR Business Plan, HR Strategy Implementation, Gender Diversity, Inclusion and Capability building for MSIL. Joined MSIL in 2012 just a month before the Maruti Industrial unrest. He has been involved directly and has been accountable for the Plan of stimulating Industrial Relations at Maruti’ s Manesar Car Plant post 2012.Post that he served as General Manager HR [2012-2022].

Prior to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., he worked for leading MNC’s like Electrolux, Good Year, Ingersoll Rand-India, & CAPARO. His last assignment prior to joining MSIL was Head HR function of the Industrial Technology Business of Ingersoll Rand [2011-2012].

He is a postgraduate in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service Ranchi (1990-1992) and started his career as a Management Trainee after being Campus placed at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur in the year 1992. He is a graduate in Political Science from Xavier College, Ranchi.

He has been an established thought leader and widely acclaimed speaker in various national & international forums. Member of Skill Development Committee of North India for Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). He is also an active member of NHRDN and SIAM.

Recognized as one of the 20 most impactful HR Leaders at CHRO Vision & Innovation Summit & Awards. Under his leadership MSIL was recognized for Employee Excellence in 2022 Economic Times Awards. Awarded the Best Leader in Industrial Relations in India in the year 2017, 2018 and 2019. He received Best in Advance Employee Engagement at World HRD Congress in 2019 at Kuala Lumpur.
