Sanjeev Nanavati
Sanjeev Nanavati is a successful CEO, leader and banker with deep Asian experience. As a senior line executive and advisor to banks, companies and C-suite executives he has consistently improved bottom line results and built high performing teams.
Sanjeev was a senior advisor to the Asian banking practice of McKinsey & Co, a senior advisor to PwC in Malaysia, Vietnam and India, the longest serving CEO of Citibank in Malaysia and a senior executive at VP and OCB bank in Vietnam. He was also an Independent Board member and member of the risk and nomination committees of Minda Global-a publicly listed company in the field of education.
Sanjeev has direct line experience leading large and complex P&L's and as CEO has managed over 6,000 people. His corporate finance and strategy skills allow him to act as a trusted advisor to companies across a range of industries. He has developed a unique group and individual based leadership development framework, which has generated impressive results helping senior executives to improve their performance in a very tangible way.
As a banker, Sanjeev has experience across Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking covering risk management, transaction banking, treasury, retail banking, wealth management, credits cards and mortgages, capital markets and M&A. Functionally, Sanjeev has experience in strategy formulation and execution, sales and product management, creating differentiation, hiring and selection.
His operating breadth is unique. Sanjeev has deep Asian experience, extensive senior contacts across the region and has done business in every major Asian country (most recently Vietnam). He has also lived and worked in the US done business in Europe and Latin America.
Sanjeev has contributed articles for the Business Times, Singapore on senior management issues and was elected President of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce three times for a total of six years.
Sanjeev has an MBA from the Whitman School of Business, Syracuse University in the US.
