Saumya Mondal is currently the Global Head of Human Resources for the Optical Networking Business at Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL). In this role, he oversees HR strategy and operations across multiple geographies, focusing on talent transformation, enhancing people productivity, and fostering a culture of innovation. Sterlite Technologies Limited is a global leader in optical and digital network solutions, committed to innovation and inclusion on a global scale 

Prior to joining STL, Saumya held several significant HR leadership positions. He was the Vice President Human Resources at AAK, where he drove HR integration, talent management, and digital transformation. Head – People Office Operations and Head – Talent Acquisition at Future Consumer Limited and Future Group India. Group Head Human Resources at Gitanjali Gems Ltd, managing domestic and international HR functions and many key HR roles at Sahara India, Essar Oil, and Essar Group, focusing on M&A, strategic workforce planning, and corporate policy development 

Saumya began his career with HR positions at Jindal Stainless and Essar Steel, gaining exposure to the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
