Sumit Sabharwal represents Fujitsu as the Head of Human Resources, Fujitsu Global Delivery Centers (GDCs). In his current role, Sumit leads multi-country, multi-disciplinary teams in helping organizations succeed, heading a team of close to 250 HR professionals, supporting business headcount of close to 20,000 employees. Sumit is also the winner of “BW Businessworld 40u40 – best HR leaders to watch out for.”

With clear objectives and purpose, he has been able to guide people in unlocking their potential and helping deliver results while also creating opportunities for themselves in the industry. He believes that workplace of the future will demand leaders to start listening more and speak less. As a person who leads from the front, Sumit has been widely spoken about in top-ranking media publications in India and is often invited as a keynote speaker at various industry forums and events. His love for writing and clarity of thought has got over 150+ articles published in various media platforms both print and online.

For over 8 years, he has been instrumental in creating a sustainable and engaging work environment at Fujitsu. Prior to his tenure at Fujitsu, Sumit has worked with several leading technology brands including Huawei, Dell, and Convergys.

Known for being direct and authentic, Sumit likes to have straight conversations with stakeholders and keeps the people around him always motivated. A people’s person, he is all ears to ideas and believes in adding value to conversations. Curiosity drives Sumit the most and has thus also set on course to imbibe learning culture at Fujitsu. He is a firm believer in education which got him to complete his MBA in HR and Marketing (the best of both worlds) from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and his Bachelor of Information Systems (BIS) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Sumit is focused on his objectives of driving a culture of inclusivity in the organization and increase profitability with sustainable business growth. He can see the larger picture and encourages his teams to practice mindfulness and being strategic via goal setting. With over 16+ years of experience in the IT industry, Sumit has had exposure to various domains of the HR. Be it Learning and Development, HR Consulting, Heading the country’s HR division to leading the HR functions for 7 GDCs, he has done it all.

In his spare time, Sumit will consume ice-cream till he gets a sugar rush and then burn off steam by hitting the gym. He loves to go on long drives and is regarded as a selfie-king amongst his peers.
