Tarun N P Varma, is presently Global Chief Human Resources Officer for Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL). He serves on the Executive Committee of TCPL, and leads the Sustainability, CSR, Business Excellence and Ethics Office for the organization.

Tarun was previously associated with Shell Plc, where he last served as the HR Head for the Global Technology division. He also led the HR function for Shell Group of Companies in India, prior to which he has handled positions of increasing responsibility and complexity at leading MNCs such as Nestle, Coca-Cola and Vodafone, over the past 24 years.

Having been associated with a variety of advisory committees on Social Investments & Programs, Energy focused Startups, and promoting STEM education among Children, Tarun remains an ardent proponent of lifelong learning and the power of DE&I.

Tarun completed his Master’s degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur.
