Sunil Kataria is the CEO & MD-Designate, Godrej Agrovet. He joined Raymond Limited as the CEO in March 2022.

Sunil is a seasoned business leader, with over three decades of rich experience in the CPG, telecom, and retail sectors. He has a proven track record of leading large-scale business transformations and building future-ready organization. He has expertise in sales, marketing, business strategy and organizational leadership.

He has previously worked with Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), where he was CEO - India and SAARC and was part of their Senior Management. In this role, he navigated the business through several macro challenges and scaled it up while delivering one of the best revenue and EBITDA growths across FMCG peers. At GCPL he successfully led the merger of the sales and marketing of GCPL Godrej Sara Lee. At Idea Cellular Limited he was Chief Operating Officer -Rajasthan circle where he was responsible for the business P&L and led a comprehensive turnaround of the business from deep loss-making to EBITDA positive within 2 years.

He has also worked as Senior President at Subhiksha Retail, as Vice president, Marketing-VIP Industries. He started his career with Marico Industries, where he played various roles in his 12 years stint by leading large and complex business operations.

Sunil is an active CPG industry leader. He has been the Chairman of Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA) for the last 5 years and serves on the board of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) and is part of various CII committees.

Sunil Kataria holds an Economics honors degree from Delhi University. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad.

Apart from work, Sunil is an avid reader across different subjects, a Bollywood buff, and writes Hindi poetry in his spare time. He is a staunch believer and practitioner of the spirit of “Possibility Thinking” in all spheres of life.
