A Ph.D. in Psychology, from the university college of medical sciences, University of Delhi. Bachelors and Masters in Psychology from University of Delhi, with a 'Distinction Award'.

Currently working as an Assistant Professor at IIIT Delhi, Consultant & Head for Clinical Psychologist at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon.

He is also a Member Editor and a part of the review panel of Delhi Psychiatry Journal (Hosted by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology).

In collaboration with Harvard University, USA, he has developed one of the 1st courses in Positive Psychology and leadership in India, based on the International Harvard Module and introduced it to the IIT and IIITs as main curriculam.

• He was awarded the Faculty Excellence Award by IIIT Delhi. He is also currently serving as the Self Growth Coordinator of the University. A senior research fellow of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Dr. Akshay is engaged in prestigious research projects.
• Dr Akshay has been recently recognized one of the top 10 Psychologists in Delhi by LBB
• He has also been awarded as Emergent Psychologist Award by National Academy of Psychology (NAOP)

His in-depth knowledge, clear understanding and brilliant acumen of the field has helped him won awards and recognition in the field of Psychology. He was awarded a certificate of research contribution by The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), of the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. and has presented several original research papers in several national and international Psychology conferences including, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), National Academy of Psychology (NAOP), Delhi University, Sambalpur University, Amity University, Jamia Milia Islamia University etc. His expertise in the field of Holistic Health has helped him refine himself further. He has been practicing Reiki personally and professionally for 09 years. He has done a specialized course on Mindfulness meditation for stress and Anxiety reduction from Tushita Meditation Retreat by Glen Svensson, from Australia with teachers such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

He has done specialized courses in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy having learnt Clinical hypnosis from Vimhans Hospital, Delhi and California Hypnosis Association (Accredited by American Hypnosis Association) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

He is a senior consultant and trainer with more than 8 years of corporate experience at Ask Insights, a Gender Diversity Consulting and Training company. He has conducted several workshops at IBM, Walmart, Concentrix, Evalueserve, Unicon, Unison, PepsiCo, Vodafone, Airtel, E&Y, Vedanta and Cain India.
