With over 25 years of marketing and advertising expertise, Babita is the CEO for VML India, an agency responsible for some of the market’s most successful campaigns and connected brand experiences; awarded globally for work such as Maxx Flash ‘The Killer Pack’ and The Times of India ‘Unplastic India’.

With a principal office in Mumbai, the market brings together 1400+ brand experience, commerce and technology experts across Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Noida, Gurgaon

Previously, Babita led WPP's Ford International Market Group- across an array of international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, India, the Middle East, and South Africa. She also served a dual role, as an Executive Director at VML Thailand (previously VMLY&R), as she was increasingly involved beyond Ford, in leveraging the agency’s strengths for growth.

Babita’s professional journey commenced as a Management Trainee at Wunderman Thompson in India, where she dedicated her efforts from 1996 to 2022. Babita’s portfolio in WT was a mix of global and local businesses- from Pepsico, Unilever, Nestle, Kellogg’s to Godrej, Kotak Mahindra, Reliance and Aditya Birla. In addition to her role, she has had the privilege of serving as a British Chevening Scholar, sharing insights as a speaker at institutions like Harvard Business School, the Women Economic Forum in Geneva, and is a mentor for young professionals as part of WPP Stella India.

Her unwavering passion lies in modern marketing and transformation-leveraging the nexus of consumer behavior, culture, and technology for innovative solutions that generate growth and equity.

In addition to her role, she has had the privilege of winning the British Chevening Scholarship in 2004, for a Women and Leadership Course in the U.K.

Babita is currently based in Mumbai.
