Debasis Sarkar
As the Executive Vice President and Head of Global Compensation and Benefits and Enterprise HR, Debasis Sarkar leads the strategic design and implementation of the company's compensation and benefits function, aligning them with HCL Technologies’ global business objectives. He also heads the ‘Enterprise HR’ function, encompassing Global HR Shared Services, Global Policies & Compliance, Global Mobility and Employee Relations fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Deb brings over two decades of HR management experience to his role, with deep expertise in compensation strategies, benefits design, and enterprise HR management. He also anchors the global HR shared services organization. This team supports all key hire-to-retire employee lifecycle processes. While managing global policies and compliance, his job is to ensure a well-balanced set of policies in every market of operations which is employee friendly, aligned to market practices and Business goals and also compliant to local legislations of every country.
In the past Deb has held several HR senior leader positions including the ‘Head of HR for the APAC and Middle East’ region at HCL Technologies, where he played a pivotal role in supporting business growth across 17 countries.
Throughout his career, Deb has successfully led numerous HR transformation projects, managed HR operations during mergers and acquisitions, and developed performance incentive programs tailored to diverse global markets. His leadership has been instrumental in driving employee engagement and retention, thereby contributing to HCL’s position as an employer of choice.
Debasis holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service and a certification in Designing and Implementing Assessment Development Centers.
