Prashant Sarin
Prashant Sarin is a Senior Partner with Bain & Company's New Delhi office. He leads Bain’s Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Energy & Natural Resources Practices in India.
Since joining Bain in 2006, Prashant has led scale transformation programs with large family managed conglomerates and MNCs in the US, Southeast Asia, and India. He was based in Silicon Valley for 4+ years advising Bain’s largest global clients – and re-located to India, in 2019. Prashant is also the co-head of the firm’s Social Impact practice in India, leading pro bono engagements with global and Indian NGOs focused on education and the environment.
In 2015, Prashant was selected as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum, Davos and as one of India's '40 Under 40' Business Leaders by The Economic Times. In 2014, he was selected as one of India's Top 25 Young Executives by Business Today.
Prashant has been cited and published in several leading mainstream and business publications, including The Economic Times, Mint, The Hindu, and The Hindustan Times. He co-authored the first Bain- Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (IVCA) annual reports in 2009 and 2010, which have become the reference for the private equity industry in India.
Prashant was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where he earned a Master's in Management Studies. He was an Aditya Birla Scholar at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he received an MBA. He graduated from Delhi University with a B.Engg. in Civil Engineering.
Prashant lives in Delhi with his wife and two children, and enjoys long distance running, swimming, and watching live performances.
