Raga Olga D’silva
Raga’s story of coming out at 50, made headlines and today she is a much sought after speaker internationally. Her story, that she wrote during lockdown, is now being adapted into a feature film.
Raga Olga D’silva is the Co-Founder and Director of Speaking Minds, a speaker engagement agency and international bureau, and is an expert in the field of corporate speaking and B2B content curation. She is also a consultant and provides advise on taking up speaking as a profession and how to be a published author.
Prior to setting up her own consultancy, Raga has worked in senior positions in advertising in India and New Zealand and has been the recipient of several prestigious awards globally.
Raga is a prolific speaker and influencer on issues such as diversity & inclusion, unconscious bias and doing business in India. Raga is the author of ‘Untold Lies’ and a Trustee on the board of children’s charity CRY UK. Raga was the first woman of Indian origin to be on the Board of India New Zealand Business Council in 2004, a position she held for 3 years. She has appeared on BBC, Channel 4, Sky TV, ITV, TVNZ and various media platforms in a professional and personal capacity.
As the South Asian Ambassador for Diabetes UK, she works on helping the community in its fight against the disease. She holds positions on many boards, including a member on the D&I at Sony Pictures.
She is finally out and proud with her long term same gender partner and a mother of twins. She divides her time between London, Mumbai and New Zealand.
