Roopesh is a Human Resource strategist with over 20 years of diverse and vast experience in the Indian and global markets. An MBA graduate in Human Resources from Bharthiar university, Roopesh is well known in the industry for his business acumen and work culture. He started his career in an operations role in consulting with TATA Group of companies and then has worked in leadership roles with reputed brands such as Hyatt where he was working as the Area Director and Hilton where he was the India Regional HR Director before experimenting with an entrepreneurial project in North America along with his doctoral studies. Combining an impeccable academic and professional record, in his stint with Hilton Roopesh was recognised to be driving strategies through in best class people practices. He re-entered the corporate space with ITC Ltd- Hotels Division in 2019 and is currently associated with the brand as the Head of HR Strategic Initiatives and Transformation. In his role with ITC, Roopesh is spearheading key HR interventions including the digital transformation, that aims to enhance agility and delivering superior stakeholders’ value at ITC Hotels. Roopesh has also been awarded as one of the most influential HR leaders twice in a row for his contribution in the HR field with innovative HR practices and efficiency frameworks. He is CPHR certified and believes that learning never stops. He keeps himself abreast in the new trends and technologies and is of the opinion that Strategic Transformation will be the biggest key priority for HR in the days to come.
