Vishpala leads HR for Philips in India and Area countries. She is responsible for HR across Market Commercial Operations, Philips Innovation Campus, Healthcare Innovation Centre, Global Business Services and Factories located in India. As part of the India Management Team, she spearheads the people and talent agenda to support business growth enabling Philips to get closer to its commitment of improving 3 billion lives a year by 2030. Prior to Philips, Vishpala was with Uber Technologies where she was the Regional HR Director for Asia-Pacific leading HR across 12 countries and all lines of businesses like Rides, EATS, Engineering, Community Operations & Customer Support. She joined Uber in 2017 and was part of the leadership team responsible in driving the transformative growth in the region as well as enabling the HR function as the company went public in 2019.

Prior to Uber, she was with American Express for 12 year and her last role was Vice President & Head HR, where she was leading Human Resources for American Express in India across P&L, Servicing and Capability LOB’s comprising a diverse workforce of 12000+ employees. She has held positions in Hewitt Associates and Cognizant Technology Solutions prior to American Express. Her experience includes driving change, leadership enablement, employee brand communication, organization-effectiveness, diversity & inclusion and leading innovative HR programs.

Vishpala served as a Board member of the national executive board of NHRDN (National HR Development Network) 2015-2019 and led their Young Minds Advisory Board aimed at enhancing capabilities of young HR professionals in the country.

An avid proponent to the cause of developing women leaders across walks of society, she lends her time in mentoring women professionals. She is passionate about leading innovative and sustainable HR practices with measurable impact and being a strong talent advocate. She has been honored with the “HR Influencer Award 2019” by Jombay, “LinkedIn Power Profile in HR 2018” “Women Super Achiever Award” World HRD Congress in 2016.

She is based in Gurgaon with her husband and two children and loves to travel and experience different cultures. A sportsperson, Vishpala has represented Andhra Pradesh/University as a national level shuttle badminton player.
