Possess HR experience of more than 35 years at SAIL, and presently heading the SAIL Corporate HRD function at Management Training at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
For about 30 years, handled various HR policies relating to Performance Appraisal and Career Growth schemes, Succession Planning, identifying and developing Leadership potential across SAIL, Bipartite forums at National levels, Employee engagement, CSR, etc., while at Corporate SAIL. Also, as part of Govt Pay panel Committee, contributed in Pay Revision recommendations for over 250 public sector enterprises.
Around 4 years of HR experience at Durgapur Steel Plant, West Bengal, leading/guiding the HR contours in all spheres, viz., improvising framework to enhance efficiency & effectiveness of role of HR to ensure its strategic linkage to business, Managing IR dynamics in a complex multi union space, ensuring quality of life at steel township, implementing CSR initiatives with focus on livelihood schemes, spreading awareness on swatchata among children and rural populace surrounding Durgapur etc.
Presently as head of HRD in SAIL, am heading the Learning and Development function and responsible for formulation and implementation of HRD policy across the company and ensuring alignment of HRD initiatives at Plant/Units with Corporate HRD Policy and directives. I am also presently exploring and reinventing L&D alignments towards improved employee engagement.
