Shivanand is a MBA from IIM Kozhikode , PGCHRM from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Chemical Engineer from BITS Pilani . He also holds a Masters in Mathematics from BITS Pilani.

As the Group Head of Learning & Development for EMAAR Properties in Dubai managing over 6400+ employees he was instrumental in building the L&D team from scratch post Covid . Shivanand was deeply involved in the Succession Planning exercise for all the entities of EMAAR. Shivanand is Hogan Certified , Gallup Strengths Coach , Belbin Certified , DiSC Certified Grow More Coach and has coached several CXOs in his journey in EMAAR and Larsen & Toubro.

Shivanand rolled out LinkedIn Learning for employees at EMAAR and a gamified micro bite sized learning application called RAPL for the frontline staff. He established partnerships with Harvard Business School , Graduate School of Business Stanford and INSEAD for executive education.

At Larsen & Toubro, in the capacity of Head of L&D for the Power Transmission & Distribution Business he brought in the Employee podcast Talk Show , revamped the Leadership Development Program with development centres and successfully conducted the Graduate Engineer Trainee Induction Program.

Prior to L&T he had set up a brand new Industry and Skills based Engineering College - Nutan College of Engineering and Research in Talegaon , Pune. Having been part of the founding team of two start-ups and raising over 300,000 USD in venture capital , his ability to thrive in volatile , uncertain , complex and ambiguous environments gives him the confidence to face challenges with great composure and ease.

He has a Consulting background , along with exposure across diverse sectors such as Power, Petroleum, Tyre, Metals and Information Technology. He is an NTSE Scholar and Indian National Mathematics Olympiad awardee for 3 times in a row. He is also a recipient of Gold Medal from University of New South Wales , Australia for the Australian Mathematics Talent Test and a Silver Medallist at Singapore Math Olympiad conducted by National University of Singapore. Shivanand has worked with Govt of India and Govt of Maharashtra by spreading awareness of digital learning techniques in rural Maharashtra by conducting workshops on Personality Development and Aptitude Training for competitive exams impacting 40,000 + students. He scored 99.81 percentile in CAT and has been topping National level exams consistently throughout his academic career.

He has backpacked 45 countries and all the 29 states and 7 Union Territories in India and is an avid reader reading one book a day.
