Organization. Leadership. With colleagues, he has also articulated the basics of effective leadership (Leadership Code and Results Based Leadership), connected leadership with customers (Leadership Brand), shown how leadership delivers market value (Why the Bottom Line Isn’t), shapes investor expectations with an ability to measure leadership (Leadership Capital Index), and synthesized ways to ensure that leadership aspirations turn into actions (Leadership Sustainability).
Human Resources. He and his colleagues have shaped the HR profession and he has been called the “father of modern HR” and “HR thought leader of the decade” by focusing on HR outcomes, governance, competencies, and practices (HR Champions; HR Value Added; HR Transformation; HR Competencies; HR Outside In). He spearheaded a “gift” book on the future of HR (The Rise of HR) distributed to over 1,500,000 HR professionals), in which 70 thought leaders freely shared their insights.

Harsha Bhogle is widely acknowledged to be not just the voice, but the face of Indian cricket. He started at a time when few Indian broadcasters were considered good enough to be on overseas networks. But he changed those perceptions, especially in Australia where in 1992 he was rated as the possessor of the “sexiest voice on radio” and in 1999 when a poll on an independent web site rated him the number one commentator for the season.
He brings a fresh perspective to cricket and is seen as a voice of reason which makes him acceptable across all cultures. His interesting background, a chemical engineer and an alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad, India’s premier business school, has made him a role model for many.
He has been the face of ESPN from the day the channel was launched and that role grew to include Star Sports and Star Cricket which also broadcast signature programmes like “Harsha Unplugged” and “Harsha On-line”. When ESPN were looking for new anchors they called their reality show “Harsha ki khoj” to attract the best talent.
He has now commentated on over four hundred one-day internationals, over a hundred test matches and has been closely associated with T20 cricket, right from the first game that India played, through six IPL tournaments, five Champions Leagues and five T20 World Cups.
His columns are widely read and a selection of those has been put together in a book called “Out of the Box”. His video blogs “Step Out with Harsha” were quite popular and he now has over a million followers on twitter. No other sports media person is half as close.

Born and raised in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Chitresh Sharma graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Christ College, Bengaluru, in 2009. At the age of 19, Chitresh founded his first enterprise, an IT outsourcing and marketing company in Bengaluru.
The business witnessed rapid growth and put Chitresh on the map as a budding entrepreneur. However, after introspecting and being encouraged by his family to build a venture with wide-ranging social impact, in 2012, Chitresh decided to study overseas to explore new possibilities.
While pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Marketing at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Chitresh found himself surrounded by new-age business ideas and concepts. The combination inspired him to research his dissertation subject, which ultimately led to his next project.
In 2013, Chitresh co-founded Glasgow-based Swipii, a digital cashback reward platform for shoppers. During the subsequent seven years, he learned the importance of staying focused on core goals and, more critically, work culture. He concluded that pursuing a sustainable growth trajectory centered around people strategy was the key to building a successful business.
In early 2020, Chitresh returned to India to revisit the idea proposed ten years ago – creating a business that would leave a positive social impact. Chitresh’s initial research revealed a stark lack of awareness about personal finance in India. The findings inspired him to combine this observation with his learnings about the benefits of Salary On-Demand during his time in the UK, which led to the establishment of Refyne.
Chitresh noticed India’s fintech landscape broadly has two options – UPI and lending, a duopoly with rampant exploitative service prices.
India historically lacked a standard credit score system. Chitresh began investigating how this affects the unbanked and underbanked population, which are not the primary focus of premium banks and lenders. His research uncovered that the absence of formal education on personal finance, among other factors, has led to the masses often falling prey to predatory loan sharks and payday lenders, exposing themselves to a quick but costly solution.
Chitresh, via Refyne, aims to empower companies and their employees and transform them into active promoters of financial resilience and independence. Chitresh envisioned building a company where team members have an aligned vision for popularising financial wellness and fostering a culture of collective growth.
When he’s not working, Chitresh enjoys spending time with his family and reading to sharpen his skills.

This talk is about how we can craft our strategy into a memorable and compelling oral story that explains not just the “what” & “how” but the”why”. We then discuss how we can use stories to embed the behaviour change we expect from people in order to ensure that the strategy is actually put to work.
By following this process we are able to ensure that:
Leaders truly understand and believe in the strategy and are inspired to share it with their people
Employees are taking action that bring the strategy to life
Employees are making all the day-to-day decisions with the strategy in mind.

While seeking to hire the right person for a job, the focus should lie equally on values as well as competence. However, studies and experience show that the character of a person, their core principles, values and overall life view are often primordial in choosing the right applicant. Time and again, it has been proven that skills can be taught or transferred, but a person’s character remains largely unchanged, therefore recruiters usually have a difficult task ahead of them, since they must try to identify the true personality of a candidate, as well as how well it fits into the organization's culture. Prepare for a deep dive into perspectives associated with this theme, as part of this session.

People bring their best versions to work when they feel appreciated and valued. That’s why it’s important to recognize and reward employees for their efforts and contributions, however insignificant it might seem. A word of caution though – rewards and recognition are also very difficult to get right. With the right strategy, and by leveraging technology, the right R & R strategy can yield positive effects for your organization.

The hybrid workplace has brought in the realization that blended learning is a commonsense concept that results in great learning success. The blended learning approach is a lot more than simply acknowledging that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to training. Blended learning can be a big advantage since more than one training method to train on one subject is utilized. Hear from experts on how the blended learning approach closely replicates how people actually learn on the job, through experience and interaction with co-workers.

There’s a lot to learn from emerging-market economies. Workers are more likely to vet companies on career development, financial incentives and working conditions. Customers in emerging markets increasingly want to do business with companies that contribute to the local economy, provide local jobs and take care of local workers, Pearce said. To meet these demands, forward-thinking global companies are already developing country-specific talent strategies and HR programs that make them more attractive to the local workforce. Know more about the top trends in this realm for HR folks to take cues from.

Inclusion beyond Tokenism - Inclusion is the new diversity. While many practitioners say that diversity and inclusion are intertwined, some make critical distinctions between the terms. In the most basic sense, diversity is about counting people, while inclusion is about making people matter.
